Sister Anita Parks
Charitable Service Ministries
Born in Lansing, Michigan, Sister Anita's family was part of Resurrection Parish until they moved to Grand Ledge when she was in the seventh grade. In her high school years, she attended O’Rafferty, becoming acquainted with Sisters of Charity. After high school, she entered the Sisters of Charity, and has celebrated over 50 years as a Sister of Charity, with over half of those years here at Saint Martha!
After 18 years of teaching preschool, she is now involved in visiting and bringing communion to those in residential homes or are home-bound. She also works with the school students, further connecting them to caring for our common home, Earth. Other parts of her ministry involve a sewing group making sundresses for girls in the Philippines and a weekly column for the bulletin to further immersed others in the many blessings of the Scriptures.
