We offer several scheduling options for our 4-year-old preschool students, allowing families to choose the program that best fits their needs. For our younger learners, we offer a Tuesday/Thursday morning program for 3-year-olds, providing a gentle introduction to the preschool experience in a supportive and caring setting.
At St. Martha Preschool, children learn essential skills for socialization, including sharing, cooperation, communication, and problem-solving. Through hands-on activities, play, and guided instruction, students begin developing early academic skills such as listening, following directions, early literacy, and number awareness all while building independence and confidence.
Our goal is to help children feel safe, valued, and excited about learning as they prepare for the expectations of kindergarten.
A special component of our 4-year-old preschool program is participation in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. This Montessori-based religious formation invites children into a sacred space where they encounter Scripture and the life of Jesus through age-appropriate materials and hands-on activities. Children learn about the Good Shepherd, the Mass, and God’s love in a peaceful environment that encourages wonder, reflection, and prayer.
In addition to classroom learning, our 4-year-old preschool students enjoy enrichment classes that support the whole child:
Physical Education to promote healthy movement and coordination
Music to encourage creativity, rhythm, and self-expression
Library time to foster a love of books and early literacy skills
