The Saint Martha School year concluded a very unique school year at the end of May. After face-to-face learning was cancelled due to Covid19, students began remote learning on March 16.
In this time of uncertainty, we can choose to focus on the good things, the “silver linings”. I once again was reminded of the wonderful community that Saint Martha Parish and School is. Teachers and staff rose to the occasion of undertaking online learning in a matter of days. Parents became home school teachers overnight implementing lessons and guiding their children in learning new content while often balancing work and home life. The students stepped up and adapted the best they could to learn through video, Zoom, and parent instruction. We all learned so much more technology than anyone could’ve dreamed of (or wanted) in such a short time.
During all this, our parishioners, teachers, families, and students all missed one another terribly and struggled with being in isolation. It wasn’t always easy and it wasn’t always fun. As a matter of fact, it was downright challenging. I pray that you were able to find your own silver linings. We are all doing the best we can in this situation while trusting in the Lord. It is so good to know we have been blessed with an amazing parish community.
Many thanks for providing the financial support and prayers that allow us to deliver a faith-filled education to our students as we continue to form disciples of Christ and carry on the Catholic tradition. We look forward to gathering together as a school and parish community once again soon.
May God Bless you!
