***Dear Parents, due to large demand our 1st to 4th grade session is full, but you can still sign up to be added to a wait-list. If an opening becomes available we will contact persons in chronological order of when they signed up to see if they are still interested in attending our basketball camp.***

First through Eighth Graders: Join us for a fun week learning the in's and out's of basketball!

The camp runs from Monday, July 29 through Thursday, August 1. 1st through 4th graders will be in our First Session from 9 am to Noon, with 5th through 8th graders in our Second Session from 12:30 to 3:30 pm.

The cost is set at $65 for the first child, with a $5 discount for each additional sibling enrolled in either session
($65, $60, $55, ...etc).

Trevor Coules will be coaching this fun camp. He has played basketball at the high school and collegiate level. After graduating from college he went on to work for Joe Dumars Fieldhouse where he has coached over 40 different basketball teams, organized basketball leagues, and ran numerous basketball camps in addition to working as a personal basketball trainer. Recently he has also started his own business venture Step Ahead Basketball Training. His resume can be found here if you would like more information.

We are also looking for up to seven volunteers to help with each session. If that sounds like something you would be interested in doing, please fill out this form and we will get back to you.

Example Layout of Wednesday's Session:

10 minutes for Drop-Off, and Opening Prayer
20 minutes for Greeting Campers, Stretch and Warm-up, and Stations: Part 1
11 Minutes each for

Lay-Ups: 1 Step, 2 Step, and 3 Step with 1 Dribble
1 Ball Dribbling
Dribble into Jump Shot
5 Minutes for
Water Break, and Stations: Part 2
11 Minutes each for

Partner Passing (bounce-pass, chest-pass, overhead-pass, and wrap-pass)
Box Out, 1-and-1 Drill, and Defensive Position
King of the Court, No Hands on Defense, and 3 Dribbles on Offense
Water and Snack Break
Chalk Talk (rules and concepts/ demonstrations)
5-on-5 Half court keep away (developing a feel for moving without the ball on offense, and defensive awareness)
Spacing and Passing Team Drill

5 Minutes for Lightening

15 Minutes for Cone Game, Closing Prayer, Break-Down, and Pick-Up
