Confirmation is a Sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of baptismal gifts. It is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation for Catholics. It is most often associated with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is offered yearly for our youth who are in the 8th grade or older. These youth are required to attend a 2 year program that begins once they are in at least the 7th grade. An overnight retreat and several parent sessions are also required. For information on our Confirmation Prep program, please contact Jackie Rosalez at 517-349-1763 or jrosalez@st-martha.org or check out our Confirmation classes page under the Faith Formation Tab.

We also offer the Sacrament of Confirmation to our RCIA Candidates at the Easter Vigil each year. If you are an adult who did not receive the sacrament of Confirmation as a youth you can still receive this special sacrament of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit with its special gifts and graces now. To find out more about our RCIA (Right of Christian Initiation of Adults) Classes, contact Deacon Carl Boehlert at boehlert@egr.msu.edu
